Uses |
In recent years, acetonitrile has been used as an organic modifier and solvent for thin layer chromatography, paper chromatography, spectroscopy and polarography. Acetonitrile is a widely used solvent, which is mainly used as the solvent of extraction distillation. Acetonitrile can be used to synthesize intermediates of various medicines and pesticides. High purity acetonitrile can be used as semiconductor cleaning agent. |

3.2 Class flammable liquid |
||
Fire-fighting measures |
In case of open flame, high heat or contact with oxidant, there is a danger of burning and explosion. It can react with oxidants. Alcohol-resistant foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide, sandy soil. Water extinguishing is ineffective |
||
Emergency treatment |
Skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing, and thoroughly clear the skin with soap and water Eye contact: Lift the eyelid, rinse with running water and normal saline, and seek medical attention Inhalation: Quickly leave the scene to a place with fresh air and keep the respiratory tract open Ingestion: Drink enough warm water to induce vomiting |
